Welcome, Guest! This is the house of @anime-addict. The Master would be glad to be acknowledged of your visit, Mira Sama Want to Share about "Saitama".

Saitama

1. Discipline

Fans of One Punch Man must remember the practice that made Saitama so mighty: 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and run 10 kilometers every day.

Saitama seems to have never missed a single day from this training session. The practice itself is still within the limits that can be done by ordinary people, though ordinary people will not be as strong as Saitama. But being able to keep doing this until his balding head and his strength into the god-level are proof of Saitama's discipline.

Readers may know how hard it is to exercise regularly. Once you miss, whether because you are busy, have to study, bad weather, or illness, then the urge to relax can start to overpower you. Finally your training schedule starts to hollow or even stops at all.

2. The simple Life

At the beginning of the story, Saitama's heroic action is unknown to anyone. He also only worked odd jobs, so that his income is minimal. Therefore he only lives in simple apartments, and rely on discount hours and vegetables giving people to survive.

His financial condition improved after he finally officially joined the Association of Heroes. The association provides a monthly salary to its members. The salary he received should have increased as well, considering he went up from grade C to B.

Saitama's financial burden has also been reduced by Genos. The reason, Genos already paid money for Saitama apartment per month.

Did Saitama start living a life of luxury? Maybe move to a bigger apartment? Apparently not. Saitama was still living as he had not been a member of the Hero Association.

In the real world, a person's spending usually automatically adjusts to the income he or she earns. People who used to live with food in market while still unemployed suddenly routinely eat at a fast food restaurant when he finally got income, for example. Or who was already quite satisfied to buy cheap goods when idle start targeting more expensive branded goods.

By always living a simple life, Saitama indicated that he had actually set aside his worldly desires, to the point of not necessarily targeting things. This is a positive nature of Saitama that the reader deserves to contemplate.

Tragically, the thing that Saitama most wanted (a fierce battle against someone who was able to keep up his powers) actually did not need the money. But he does not seem to get it.

3. His Ego is Very Controlled

Saitama is the strongest creature in the universe. He himself must have been aware of it, especially since he was able to straighten out enemies without problems. But the world does not want to respect him.

Some of his achievements are considered to be the result of King's power, simply because King happens to always be at the Saitama battle site. While still in class B, Genos - much weaker than himself - skyrocketed to class S.

Already so, Saitama is sometimes accused of being a fraud. He has also received hateful mailings from haters.

If Saitama wanted to, he could avenge those humiliations by destroying all those who belittled him. But what did he do?

King's friendly Saitama did not mind King accepting the praise and popularity of Saitama's actions. He could tell the truth about King anytime, but he never did.

In receiving a letter from the haters, Saitama looks not too concerned. Even Genos's emotions are more hooked than Saitama. There was also a situation in which Saitama allowed himself to be accused of being a fraud, so that the heroes who had slammed the bones of the monster could gain respect and praise.

This is evidence that Saitama succeeded in defeating the greatest enemy of a human being: his own ego. How often do you see in the real world there is someone who applies arrogant and asks to be respected? Even in the world of One Punch Man alone figures like it exist. But Saitama was able to ignore it.

4. Basically Heroic

Saitama seems to have the same motivation as a number of shonen anime protagonists: to be strong in order to fight excitedly with powerful foes. The problem is, his training keeps him through all the powers of a shonen anime protagonist.

In the present, Saitama has so far not received the exciting fight he wanted. This makes him more often bored in action. Even in some situations he destroys the monster not because he is acting as a hero, but because they attack him first when he wants to spend or throw out the garbage.

However, although he himself may be arguing, Saitama actually has a heroic nature.

As already discussed above, Saitama seldom gained respect for his efforts. In the Yusuke Murata version he is still caught in class B, most of his achievements are considered by the public and the Hero Association is an act of King (who does not even have any power at all), and he sometimes gets hate mail or blasphemy from the public.

Saitama could at any time rage and destroy the Earth, as did Plutonian in the Irreedeemable comic. He can sulk and let the other heroes handle the crisis, because he will not be respected. He can even switch hobbies, as King once suggested.

But when the big crisis happened, what did Saitama do? He will still fight the threat of monsters and destroy them in one blow.

When he came to help, Saitama was not thinking about reputation. He probably already knew that his enemy would not give him a fierce fight. He does not think of rewards. He fights just because he can, or because someone needs his help. (The latest example is Suiryu).

By acting without thinking of a pamrih, Saitama is more heroic than a number of other superheroes, both in the universe One Punch Man and those in the Marvel and DC universe. This therefore belongs to one of Saitama's positive traits worth exemplifying.
"Anime are not just a TV show like cartoons, Anime are epic stories which will never dies!"
