Español: Después de 2 meses de la salida del volumen 7, se ha programado para el 10 de Junio en Japón el lanzamiento volumen 8 de las novelas ligeras de Sword Art Online Progressive, escritas por Reki Kawahara e ilustradas por Abec.

Sword Art Online Progressive es un spin-off que amplía el arco de Aincrad de la serie principal (1ra temporada). Este volumen cubrirá los eventos que tuvieron lugar mientras se despejaba el piso 7 de Aincrad.

La portada es protagonizada por Kirito, y dos nuevas personajes, llamadas Kio y Nimir.
