Review Sherlock Gnomes: Animation that misses the target
Animated films are still an industry that is interested in filmmakers in the world. In the midst of many serious films and need adult audiences, animated films present as a refresher and entertainment spectacle for children. The release of Sherlock Gnomes movie became one of the animations that colored the children's holiday season this week.
Synopsis:
When Gnomeo and Juliet lost the entire gnome in their park, they recruited a detective named Sherlock Gnomes. They engage in adventure actions to investigate missing ornamental plants one at a time. Sherlock Gnomes along with his partner, Watson, trying to find out who the thieves who create anxiety in the park.
Paramount Pictures greets fans again through Sherlock Gnomes. The sequel from Gnomeo and Juliet (2011) tells the adventure of a group of dwarf-shaped ornaments. Apparently, the gnomes will be franchised with parody stories from serious works. After Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (1597), now turn Arthur Conan Doyle with his Sherlock Holmes works.
The story of Sherlock Holmes was first introduced in 1887. The consultant's detective figure is summarized in four novels and 56 short stories.
It is undeniable that Paramount Animation and director John Stevenson deliberately make this animated film to prove that the work of the baseball celebrities is difficult to understand. Hence, this franchise is unique because daring to present the work of the celebrities with light and can be enjoyed by children. The plot of the story built is a bit confusing. You see, when viewed from the title, this film focuses on the character of Sherlock and Watson. However, the characters Gnomeo and Juliet also have a portion of the scene that is as important as the detective duo. As if, the characters of Sherlock and Watson as escort the adventures of Gnomeo and Juliet.
Moreover, Sherlock Gnomes is a sequel to Gnomeo and Juliet. It would be fitting that Gnomeo and Juliet characters are as important as Sherlock and Watson. There is the addition of characters of the world's celebrities in the adventure of Gnomeo and Juliet as the main character of this franchise.
This animation has PG-13 rating. You see, the show is displayed more strongly the need will be assisted parents, in contrast to the first film that can be enjoyed all ages. At first glance, enggak nothing too special in the characters. However, if you know the voice behind the gnomes, you'll be surprised. Because the animated film is star-studded. Yep, like his first film, James McAvoy and Emily Blunt is still believed to be the voice of the main characters Gnomeo and Juliet. Both are able to provide chemisty although limited in the form of sound.
Meanwhile, Sherlock character voiced slick by multitalented actor, Johnny Depp. As we know, Depp can play any character, including ornaments. Uniquely, the character of Sherlock performed by Depp is similar to his action as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Equally nyeleneh, reckless, and "crazy".
Depp managed to portray Sherlock Holmes uniquely. A "consultant detective" is known for his logical reasoning acumen, undercover ability, and his skills in using forensic science to solve cases.

This visual animation is really bright. In fact, important baseball objects were made in detail. Although not yet as detailed as the animation made by the company "table lamp", Paramount Animation presents a cheerful and eye-popping show. The ornaments are also contrived like real objects. As a complement, there are musical accompaniment from Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
This comedy mystery animated film seems not difficult to work on Stevenson. Armed with his skills honed since Shrek (2001), Shrek 2 (2004), and Kung Fu Panda (2008). Stevenson is also considered appropriate choosing Depp and Ejiofor as a detective duo. The characters of McAvoy and Blunt are also still turned on with each of its trademarks.
This film could be a choice of spectacle for lo who like the story of Sherlock Holmes. Animated movie enthusiasts can also make Sherlock Gnomes a show of refreshment in the middle of horror shows.
