Animal Sunday: Our winter birds
The snow did not last long, but I managed to take a few photos. we really enjoyed the winter with deep clear snow. I dream that such snow would fall on Christmas and New Year. But usually we get at best snow and rain, at worst - slush.

Have you met @mariannewest via @thealliance? They are also active animal rescuers, and Marianne is all about #ChickenLove! I'd love to raise some myself but we have too many coyotes, coons, foxes, and other wildlife that would sneak through pens and find their way into sheds. It kills me to kill so many mice, but after $800 damage from nesting in engines, ok. Another guy lost $$$ at the mechanic when mice packed his muffler with popcorn seeds that popped and clogged the pipes. Oh those cute little naughty little mice. They turn my boots into grain bins and silos, packing them with dogfood and birdseed. They chew through inuslation, get inside, chew through boxes and bags....
Second from the bottom picture is a dandy. :-)
