The Salticidae or spider, spider is a spider family composed of over 4500 species in 520 generations or about 10% of all species of spiders that make Salticidae the largest spider family.

Some species of Salticidae have the best vision among arthropods. using it in marriage, hunting, and navigation. Although they usually move quietly and fairly slowly, most species are able to jump very agile, especially when hunting, or in response to sudden threats. The jumper spider is usually recognized from the eye structure. All of the jumper spiders have four pairs of eyes with one pair in particular being their big median anterior eyes, and this is an accurate intelligence eye.

Scientific classification

Kingdom: Animalia

Filum: Artropoda

Class: Arachnida

Order: Araneae

Subordo: Araneomorphae

Section: Entelegynae

Famili: Salticidae

The jumper spiders are among the most easily distinguished belonging to other spider families because of the shape of the cephalothorax and their eye arrangement. The females closest to Salticidae in terms of physical appearance in general are Corinnidae, distinguished by prominent spines on the backs of four legs, Oxyopidaedibedakan by the very prominent spines on all legs and (** Thomisidae **) crab spiders, distinguished by their very long and powerful front legs. But none of the three families have eyes resembling the eyes of Salticidae . On the other hand, the spider's legs do not have any prominent spikes. Their front legs are generally larger than the four hind legs, but not as dramatic as the crab spider's legs, and they can not stand with the outstretched legs, Thomisidae behavior. Despite their long front legs, Salticidae relies on their hind legs for melo ncat.Generally the forelegs are used to assist in capturing prey and in some species, the forefoot and pedipalpus are used as a marking of species recognition.

The spider spider, unlike other families, has roughly rectangular faces and looks perpendicular to their direction of motion. The effect is that they are seen from the front, their anterior eyes on a flat face, as shown in the photograph. is the single most obvious identifier characteristic. They have eight eyes, as illustrated. The most common sign is the four eyes in the front row, which shows that the median anterior eye pair is more prominent dramatically than that of the other spider, except the posteriormedian eye Deinopidae However, there is a radical function difference between the main eye of the Salticidae and Deinopidae's main eye. The large posterior eye Deinopidae adapts mainly to visions in dim light, whereas the large anterior eye of Salticidae becomes a very clear three-dimensional visionary tool for the purpose of estimating the range, direction, and potential prey characters, allowing the spider to direct its highly targeted jumps. The anterior lateral, though large, but smaller than the median anterior eye provides a wider range of vision forwards.

Four eyes in the back row can be described as very strategic, or rearranged into two rows, with two large lateral posterior eyes very far behind. These four eyes are used for lateral vision.

The length of the spider body of the spider varies from 1 to 20 mm. The largest species is Hyllus giganteus and other genera with relatively large species are Phidippus, Philaeus, and Plexippus.

They use their silk for safety when jumping and to make a cage, where they shelter from bad weather and sleep at night. In that place they also change their skin, store their eggs, and spend the winter. Beautiful house with a very nice bandage, with its sticky silk thread. This is a very powerful tool to anticipate or hinder the enemy.
