Meet Lexi my dog.

My wife @cathmot and I decided that we wanted to get a pedigree dog (Golden Retriever) when I was working in Miri, Sarawak. Reason being she was alone at home, while I was busy working at the office and all my children were at school. Lexi was to accompany her at home. We got her when she was about 2.5 months old. She was a cute little puppy.
(Unfortunately I cannot find her photos anymore.) Of course, my wife was occupied when I was busy at work, and my children were in School. She had a companion at home. She lounges on our coach.

This is her I found from my FB...at about 5 months old.

When she was about 5 months old, she did they unthinkable... my son was playing with his dinosaur toys when suddenly Lexi swallowed one of his dinosaur toys. We didn’t know that happenned. Only after observing her about 2 days that she was vomiting green liquid and not eating, I got worried what had happened to her. So I brought her to the vet and got her checked. We found out there was a solid foreign object inside her stomach. We tried giving laxative hoping that the little dinosaur will come out eventually but it didn’t. I got stuck between the smaller intestines and it made matters worse. She was on her 5th day by now and not been eating normally. The only way to remove the foreign object was to go for an operation.

the little dinosaur that was stucked!!

After the operation, she was recovering quite well, her appetite was back to normal. I was personally overjoyed. After about a year, we move back to KK. It’s fun to raise a pedigree Golden Retriever as they are the 4th smartest dog according to this link

I love my Lexi very much, she is very playful and very friendly and so also FAT(she is obese). Photo of her after a haircut.

During christmas last year, I dressed her up to be a lion.

Now she is sick again because of old age. 😞 She has enlarged heart, enlarged spleen and water retention in her stomach and lungs. (maybe due to her operation when she was 5 months old according to the Vet) She lost 5kg from 36kg. I hope she recover soon.

Hope that your dog will get better. She is part and parcel of your family. I also have a pet dog at home.

Tq @positivesteem. Yes indeed she is part of my family. Always be. Glad that you like dogs as well.

Seeing spots? Or not... Dalmatian puppies are pure white when they are born and develop their spots as they grow older.

Nope. No spots, is it suppose to have spots? You have dalmatians?

Speedy recovery Lexi. I have a dog with me too. I understand how worried we feel when they are not well.

She is recovering now, but still not too well. It saddens me when I see she is not herself.

When I still stay with my parents , we have a golden retriever too. My favourite thing to do with the dog is ask it to sleep in front of me than put my feet under or on it's tummy to keep my feet warm.

hahaha...sometimes i do that too.
