First time you heard the word "cockroach" might make you goosebumps is not it ?. These insects are identical to dirt and grime. And even worse, like a giant bacterial magnet, they also participate in the spread of the disease.
According to Dr. Jim Fredicks, an Insect Expert and Environmental Health Specialist in Virginia, USA, cockroaches are the most adaptable animals in various environments and conditions.

Cockroaches who like to nest and settle in damp, dark and dirty, it also have some secrets that you may not know.

1. Cockroaches generally rarely fly

If flying, cockroach body will be hot. However, there are some cocky cockroaches that usually live in Central and South America.

2. Cockroach cause global warming

Studies show that the average cockroach farts every 15 minutes. Even after death, the cockroach will keep releasing methane for up to 18 hours.

3. Cockroaches will die if on their backs

Cockroaches can die because they can not fix their position after falling. Cockroaches can die on their backs.

4. Cockroaches are not headed

Cockroaches do not need a head to survive. Headless cockroaches can survive long enough even up to 9 days.

5. Cockroaches can cause asthma

Cockroach allergy is the dirt and debris from the cockroach carcass that becomes dust and into the bronchial tube. This sensitivity to dust triggers a bronchial allergic reaction known as asthma.

6. Super fast growth

Female cockroaches can produce 6-8 eggs for 6 months, which can make 180-320 new cockroaches. Then there will be thousands of cockroaches in a few months.

7. Cockroach runner very fast

Research shows that the speed of the fastest American cockroach was recorded near 2 miles per hour (75 cm per second).

8. Cockroaches can survive even in atomic bombs

The cockroach cells divide during the molting cycle, once a week. So cockroaches are sensitive to radiation only about 48 hours. With nuclear bomb radiation, all humans will die, but only 1/4 of the cockroaches will survive.
