Glass Shrimp

Glass Shrimp also known as Ghost Shrimp are transparent crustaceans that can be found in the freshwaters of Southeastern USA. Glass Shrimp have a 12-24 month life span and spend their time scavenging for food. Being completely see through the food that they eat can be seen traveling through the digestive system of their body. Aside from the unique feature of being see-through which helps them elude predators Glass Shrimp are also known to swim upside down to scavenge food from the surface of water.
