Hey, do you think steemit is a platform where people may be willing to pay for art commissions? Nothing fancy/expensive. My style is...a bit unique.

Maybe! A little while ago, @surpassinggoogle decided to launch the #steemgig tag, in which Steemians offer a service in exchange for a certain amount of Steem or Steem Dollars (SBD). Maybe that's something for you to check out? Offer your own steemgig?
Sounds promising! I can do stupid little cute animals (mostly cats, foxes, bats, and...winged hamsters...). But I also draw strange roses. In high school, two girls had me draw my roses on them in sharpie. They had them tattooed on them.
I also draw weird trees.
I drew up a rose, would it be alright if I tagged you when I post it in a few minutes?
That sounds cool, I'm curious to see! How amazing that you drew their tattoos! Just try it with a steemgig, you have nothing to lose and all to gain (at the very least, you'll get some upvotes ;-) ). Be sure to show some examples!
