Surprising Facts About Snake Island
What would happen if an island inhabited by one of the most dangerous species on earth? A remote island in the Atlantic Ocean this scenery of cliffs and tropical forests which looks very beautiful. The local community in Sao Paulo, Brazil, called it Ilha da Queimada Grande. But the world is to know as Snake Island or Snake Island.
On this island lived the golden lance viper or Bothrops insularis, gold-colored snake with the head if exposed to sunlight. Even venom capable of killing a human being less than an hour. Thousands of the viper snake lived on the island with an area of 43 hectares.

A researcher named Karina Rodrigues of Butantan Institute estimates that the number of the island's viper "left only" 1,500 to 2,000 only.
Nevertheless, it is still the name of Snake Island often makes many people cringe. It seems like only smugglers animals, scientists and navy who dared set foot on the island.
