HORSE'S ARE BEAUTIFUL CREATURE'S
I've always thought horse's are such elegant creatures!! And I'm told they are very smart. While on my drive north today, I came across 3 horse's in a pen. I thought I would get a few photo's to share with my Steemit friends!!
Personally, I have never been horseback riding. Have you? Please tell me your experiences.

Yes I when horse back riding in Mexico around 1976 I believe. I gave the man I think $6.00 and I got on a mule. I was with my cousin he got a mule too. Well after a while of the mules going really slow and then stopping I got off and tried to walk back to the guy. I told him this mule is too slow. I was just a 17 year old fool. Maybe I should have just tried to ride the mule. Well, the guy seemed like he got mad. He told I believe his daughter something and the daughter kept saying, No, papa no. That should have been my cue. The guy said something to her and she obeyed. Then she brought this big horse. I tell people I think it was a distance cousin to Secretariat. The the girl make a last plea saying, No, papa no. He says, something else to her and she gets quiet. Then he told me in a little rough way to get on. As soon as I get on he slaps the rear of that big horse and that horse gets up on it's hind legs and as soon as it went down again it ran like no tomorrow. It felt like I was on a war horse going into battle, like days of old. Well that horse ran to the beach with me hanging on. I have a problem. You see that is the first time I rode a horse not tied to a wheel and not a mule. I didn't know how to turn left or right or slow down or stop. I was heading toward a couple just lying on a beach towel looking at the water and here I come with a horse that thinks it is going into battle at top speed. I was thinking, please look at me and get out of the way to the couple just lying on the beach. Well, they finally noticed me and got out of the ways seconds before that horse ran right on top of that beach towel they were laying on. Thank you Jesus, that I didn't kill anybody that day. The horse finally got tired and started walking near the water. I was with the YMCA and one of the guys in the group seen the whole thing and started saying, Where did you get that horse? How come I didn't get a horse like that? Do you want to trade horses? So after all those questions I traded with him. I think riding a horse like that is a once in a lifetime event and I was ready to get just a regular horse. I haven't been on a horse since that time.

We used to ride horses every day on the farm in Canada. We used them to check fence lines and the herds. The biggest joy was to go out pre-drawn for a ride along the river. A great way to start the day.

I tried it once when we went on a school trip. It was a great experience and I would love to do it again! :)

Horses are beautiful. I never tried back horse riding either. I got no experience with horses. I'm not sure if I'm going to try but may be I'll try a pony:):)
