¿What are sea anemones?
Sea anemones are polyps that look like sea flowers. Its tentacles look like petals of a flower that contain nematocysts (capsules with toxic spines). When a fish is hit by the tentacles of a sea anemone, it is stunned. Then with the tentacles it is taken to the central cavity where it is digested.
¿Why does not the sea anemone attack the payazo fish?
The payazo fish seeks protection by taking refuge among the tentacles of the sea anemone. At the same time, the anemone uses the payazo fish as live bait to attract other fish.
When other fish see the payazo fish between the tentacles. They approach with the intention of eating it. And without realizing it they are among the tentacles. And they are the devoured ones.
