 Predatory Piranha fish

Piranha  fish have never been a favorite fish because of its reputation, but  actually freshwater piranha fish are considered ferocious river  monsters. The truth is that piranha has sharp teeth and many of them are  carnivorous fish, but there is an apparent difference of diet among  species , This is why it is difficult to classify these fish, and here we will recall some facts about Piranha fish.

Piranha fish

Piranha  fish are the most ferocious fish in the world, and they are found in  very large numbers. Sharks and paracodas usually attack smaller  organisms themselves, but predatory piranhas usually attack much larger  organisms themselves. The piranha fish will catch a moving hand in the  water Parmesan deforms swimmers in all the rivers of Paraguayan cities,  devouring any wounded man or monster alive, blood in the water evoking  them to the point of madness, and the piranha will tear the wound of  wild birds into pieces.

Peranana has lived in South America for millions of years

Today,  Peruvian freshwater fish inhabit fresh water in South America from the  Orinoco River Basin in Venezuela to the Paraná River in Argentina, and  despite various estimates, there are about 30 species that live in the  lakes and rivers of South America today of Piranha fish. Fossil evidence  suggests that ancestors Piranha fish in the rivers of the continent were present 25 million  years ago, but the nationalities of modern Piranha may be about 1.8  million years ago.

Piranha fish outside South America are usually pet

Piranha  fish attract a particular species of fish-lovers, especially when they  get large fish in their aquarium, and piranha breeders say it is better  off in local lakes, and this way the Piranha predators appear in  waterways around the world from Great Britain to China To Texas, it is legal to own piranha in some areas, but it is  obviously not good to release them in the wild, because species can  become invasive.

Piranha teeth are very strong but can be replaced

Piranha  is known for its sharp teeth such as the mousse, strong and stiff  biceps, adult piranha with one row of interlocking teeth lining the jaw,  real piranha with sharp triceps and a length of about 4 mm, and  piranhas adapting clearly to suit their diet from Meat, the actual enamel structure is similar to that of sharks, and it  is not uncommon to lose piranha teeth but can change their teeth  several times during their lifetime.

Humans and capibara are only part of the diet of Piranha fish:

The  idea that piranhas can tear a person into very small parts is more  mythical than reality. In fact, experts estimate that the human flesh  stripped of 180 pounds requires 300 to 500 piranha fish, Drowned by some humans in the South American River after encountering fish.

Some of the piranha fish are from meat

The  pyrana diet consists of insects, fish, crustaceans, worms, carcasses,  seeds and other plant materials. For example, red piranhas (Pegocentros  Natriere) eat about 246 grams per day at the price of body mass.  Crustaceans, , But the balance of this diet can vary depending on the age of the fish and available food sources.

Sometimes, when resources are low and competition for food is high,  predatory piranha is known to eat part of the other dead or living  piranha. Some species of piranha fish feed on fish scales, which contain  a mucous layer of protein that is surprisingly nutritious.

Some of the piranha fish are from eucalyptus plants

Despite  the reputation of Piranha fish it feeds on meat, but there are some of  the Piranha fish feed on meat and plants, where they eat more seeds, and  some of the Piranha fish only eat plants, such as Tomitis Kamunani, who  lives on the slopes of the Amazon Trombitas Basin In Barra, Brazil.

Piranha fish when fishing are directed to the eye or tail

A 1972 study of Piranha Red Blade found that they often attack  goldfish in the laboratory from the eye or the tail or both. The  researchers concluded that the strategy of the attack was to paralyze  the prey.

Piranha  fish are not predators at the top of the food chain. They can be prey  to tropical crocodiles, birds, river dolphins, and large Piscatarian  fish, so piranhas gather in groups to protect themselves from attack. The group is younger on the edges of the group, and this indicates that safety and safety may be the real motivation.
