I was an active advocate and animal rescuer for about 9 years. I live in Colorado and a shelter just up the road that serves the large city Grand Junction Colorado was found to have the worst record in the state. Many of the area residents were shocked by the report, the state report, and feel it's not the truth. Others are shocked and disappointed. All of the responses inspired a series on my blog I just started tonight as I feel pet overpopulation is at epidemic proportions in our country and way overdue for being addressed with strong action. Granted, it is mostly my opinion and based on my experiences but I really do think massive change is way overdue! Kudos to you and your work. It's very brave what you do!!
