RE: SOS- Save Our Strays - Steem Initiative

in #animals6 years ago

That is the reality and sadness of people who mix religion and animals together.
I am still trying to find a proper home for my 11 year old family dog a home since Selangor high rise do not permit pets. Period.

Malaysians, unlike westerners especially, still treat dogs and cats like a tool instead of a family friend. They are tools to guard the house, catch mice, keep company; but never really a family member, or even an entertaining live toy or money making machine.

Although this is starting to change for the better but because many Malaysians still have not have the mindset they don't care for the animals like westerners do.

I remembered when I was backpacking I see dogs in trains, buses, shops, restaurants, parks; they all mingle with the humans and even homeless people have dogs with them and they can never discard them.

Here, I know the expats are working hard to make this a difference, but if people still propaganda it the wrong way as a secular law and owners are not taking full responsibility, this problem will keep occurring.
