It has been years since we all know about the presence of the chameleons, are truly striking animals and have the ability to change the color pigments of their skin.

This is something that surprises many and has been the object of study, because always man seeks to understand the nature, everything must be explained, most of the times it is said that the chameleons change color to camouflage, but now the experts say that they change color when they are in the process of conquest, both versions may be true, the fact is that chameleons are unique in achieving color change very easily.

The chameleons are born with special cells (chromatophores) that have a specific color or pigment each. All these cells are scattered in the outer layers of the skin of the chameleons; The outermost layers have chromatophores cells with red and yellow pigments, unlike the inner layers which have blue and white pigment chromatophores. When these cells change, the skin of the chameleon changes color.

These cells change by stretching or rolling, becoming longer or shorter and these changes cause them to mix. When they are mixed it gives rise to new colors. The presence of other compounds and especially melanin in the area, also influence the change, making the colors darker when necessary. In turn, all this happens when the chameleon's brain sends certain nerve signals to those cells.

The colors in chameleons can be explained by a simple process that occurs, they have cells full of warm and dark colored pigments, but bright blue and white are generated when light bounces on physical elements like crystals, those colors blend and it is possible that the green color may arise from the mixture of a blue and yellow pigment.

The changes arise by a rearrangement that occurs in pigments that make their skin become lighter or darker depending on the environment around them, panther chameleons have this characteristic, many male chameleons change color very drastically, can change from a green color to camouflage with the environment of some place like a yellow this happens when it is with another that could be its competitor.

It is their way of survival, the chameleons change color to protect themselves from possible predators, also for the process of conquest and reproduction. This is a natural way of life they have, but what surprises many is that these animals have colors beautiful and bright, and its ability to change color is different from other species of reptiles or lizards, because there are other species that can change color as the Amiga but only a single tone as the brown, but the chameleon changes to an impressive range of colors.

It is believed that it is a behavior developed to escape prey, camouflage or to go unnoticed and although this is correct, there are other reasons why chameleons change the color of their skin. Researchers assume that it also has to do with the details in the following points like light, temperature and mood or mood because they are living beings who feel and suffer as everyone.

I wish I can do that.
Different clothes every 15 minutes.
Awww, what an idea.

Hahahah, this is so awesome, isn't it? :D

its 100% not their choice thats for sure

It may be truth.

They change colors only when they sense any danger when some people change themselves without any reason. What is the reason behind it?

I think that it is done in order to avoid contact with other animals which can be dangerous to the chameleon.
