The Candiru - The amazonian terror fish that swims into your penish

in #animals7 years ago (edited)

The immense freshwater of the Amazon Waterway is home to inexhaustible creature life, and a significant number of its species flourish by way of their savagery. If you ever asked one of the locals which creature in the Amazonian streams is the most feared, some might mention the wandering packs of flesh eating piranhas, or the monstrous boa constrictor snakes; yet, in the general opinion of the area, the first word your hear would be "candirú."

The candirú is a tiny catfish which abides in the deeps of the Amazon Streams. These fish don't chase in packs like the piranha, nor are they large and awe inspiring like the boa constrictor. NOPE. Actually, the candirú is among the most minor vertebrates on the planet, and it is some of the time alluded to as the "toothpick fish" because of its little size and slim shape.

Only a few unfortunate individuals have had the sorrow of encountering the candirú, yet their stories are enough to dissuade people from venturing into just any stream.

The candiru is a parasite and its natual hosts are not actually humans ( at the end i explain how its plausible for them to attack humans). Its natural hosts are fish. The candiru waits in the dim murkiness at the stream's base, unobtrusively stalking fish. Theres no light down there but the candirú does not have to see… it can taste the hints of urea and alkali that are ousted from breathing gills. (Note Urea)

The tiny parasite stalks its prey, relatively imperceptible because of its translucent body and little size. At the point when the objective fish breathes out, the candirú identifies the subsequent stream of water and makes a dash for the uncovered gill. Lightning fast.Inside it wiggles intoa suitable position in the gills and raises its umbrella like spine to hook itself firmly in.

Unconcerned with the host's terrified whipping, the immovably moored parasite instantly snack from an opening made in the gill of the fish with its needle-like teeth, devouring upon the juices that spouts forward. In about two minutes the candirú's stomach is swollen with the blood of its victim and it withdraws its grasping points.

Yes it seems like it let its host off easy, but, the wounds on the hosts are extensive to the point that odds of survival are little. Meanwhile, the candiru lurks once more into the waterway's dim spots to digest its feast..

There are many alarming stories from the district in regards to human run-ins with the candirú. Its normal
for individuals swimming or washing in the stream to urinate while in the water, which fills the water with urea and smelling salts, much like a breathing out fish. The stories go on that the little, tiny catfish can't generally recognize a urinating human from a breathing fish, and now and again it will attemptr its trademark snatch and grab on some awful soul's submerged, uncovered urethra.(Read , penis/vagina)
