its sad, I use to feed and water two dove like this for almost two years they come and go mostly come over to eat and one day one of them stayed at my window in nigth time I was thinking wow she is gonna sleep here it made me very happy, next morning she was still there thats when I found out she was gone
so sad, I put her under nice tree.
It also made me happy that she come stayed with me her last hours.
I have taken care of birds and rabbits and a raccoon once when I found them injured, it's always sad to lose one and it doesn't get easier.
