You touched on it a little @Krnel, some people walking by a homeless person may not be inclined to give them money. Now on the other hand, if that same homeless person has a dog with him, more people will give him money....People will give more money to the homeless guy with the dog because they view the dog as something that can't help itself. A homeless person, besides from being handicap, should be able to get some type of job. A dog can not.

Indeed, the dog gets more sympathy, empathy and compassion. One is "truly" helpless as a homeless animal, while the other "should get a job" so not deserving... Thanks for the feedback.
I agree 100%. That is why I believe in adopting a dog if you plan on adding a new member to the family. "Homeless" dogs can't help it, and a lot of them are great dogs.....Trust me I know from experience...They are brothers and both rescued.
Gah! Those faces. Rescue is a huge part of my life <3
