Here is the world's BIGGEST heart...

  The blue whale which are the world's biggest animals weigh up to 137,000kg, also have an enormous heart. Their heart have about the same size as a smart car and pumps up to 220litres of blood each minute.

   In 2014, a blue whale carcass was found in Newfoundland, and the massive heart which weighs 200kg, was retrived and preversed by researchers in Toronto, Canada. It's is being preserved through a process called plastination, whereby it is soaked in acetone to drain out all the water. It is also pumped with formaldehyde  and that helps stop decaying by stiffening the heart muscles.

The big heart has been placed on display at the Royal Ontario Museum. And it is said by one of the researchers Jacqueline Miller that the preserved heart could sustain up to 1000 years.
