A landmark proposal for animal rights by gov of India.

Animals are not a commodity, but it is considered like that when they are used by the human being for various purposes. Recently a news published in a leading daily English newspaper of India "The Times of India" that Centre proposes a ban on all animals in circuses This is really a great news for all animal rights activists who are fighting for animal rights from a long time.

Of course, it is a good move by the government but still, the question arises why only in the circuses? Animals are also used as a performer, as a mode of transport and in various public and private procession. Use of animals in such activities should be considered as an abuse. Animals used in such activities always suffer a lot throughout their life. To fulfil the demand of animals for such type of activities females are forcefully impregnated and the baby born after that always remain a slave of their owners and never could live their own natural life. In fact, animals born in such conditions forget their natural instincts and work only for profit for their owners.

A few years back in a religious procession I took some pictures of animals used in the procession. A religion which gives a message of non-violence, but the procession was not more than a show of animal cruelty. Pics say a lot so here I am sharing a few pics of the procession and this is a one of the procession organised every year by various religious and non-religious organizations.

Let's hope for the best, a day will come when the human being will understand the hidden cruelty in the use of animals for any purpose.
