we have a cat and a dog and since they grew up together they get along fine but when I take the dog for a walk it will still bark at other cats. I think he probably doesn't know the one we have at home is also a cat.
lol. I never thought about it that way but maybe he doesn't know it is a cat. It's just a strange dog with a really profound ability to jump on top of things. Maybe the dogs are jealous!
