Praying Mantis Totem Animal: Check out this amazing little creature out!

Right now this praying mantis is in its defence pose, normally she looks more like a leaf but since my partner touched her, she flapped out her wings and showed her spike claws and made herself look big and intimating for a small creature.

The praying mantis is a fierce predator and they have been known to even take a humming birds and lizards on rare occasions. The female which is larger than the male, decapitate their male mate 15% of times during the love making act. It is sespected that this might be a vital moment that forces the male to ejaculate. They also become the meal providing value nutrients for the female to lay her eggs.

It's Was my partner who got these snaps, he touched her to make sure she was alright because it wasn't moving right in the middle of the path, that when she moved into this amazing pose. I really have a connection with animals and whenever there is a close in counter its important to look up the spiritual meaning. It seemed to be the message meant for my partner especially today. He was super stressing out about his mum visiting, getting anxious and my patience was starting to wain alot, I kept trying to stay positive but it was too much and I was feeling his feelings, then something trivial became a big deal and before you know it was first thing in the morning and voices were being raised and that something we both want to avoid but when we get trigger, it becomes easier to loose control.

After his lone walk and when he returned we cooled off and back on track, seeing the mantis through his lense and hearing about the encounter also felt like a message sent to me remotely. I know where he walked, where we both walk and cycle everyday and I've never seen a mantis there before. On a day like to day it felt like God speaking through the creature, commanding us to be still and calm. some Muslims believe the praying mantis points towards mecca. And in France they are believed to guide lost children home. There is something totally unique and enchanting about these carnivorous beings, they are incredibly special and can teach us humans a lot about patience and timing.
