Good luck or just coincidence?
When I got up yesterday and went to the window, I saw an interesting scene. In the corner of my terrace, between garden tools and one old bag, pigeons had made a nest.
There were male pigeon, his dove and two eggs. I had to go outside and to approach little closer to the nest, so that I could make a photo of them. The dove was scared, but she didn't escape. I could see fear in their little eyes, but as every good future parents, they stayed to watch over nest.
In elementary school, we had learned that pigeon and a dove make nest together. When a pigeon and a dove meet, male finds good places for nesting, but female chooses which place is the best. Then they start to bring twigs and make a nest. When its done, pigeons are "kissing" and mating for a few days. Female usually lays two eggs, and then sits alternately with the male for the next two-three weeks...I hope that the weather is not too cold for eggs.
Some people say that means good luck when pigeons make nests on someone's window or terrace, others say its just coincidence. What is true, we'll see.

Maybe more like lots of mess to clean because if they make a nest once, they return to it over and over ;)
