The praying mantis
I find this insect extremely unique. They are actually kind of beautiful (from far of course!😂). Here are some interesting facts about the praying mantis:
- Most of them are found in the tropics
- They have the ability to turn their heads to complete 180 degree
- They are related to insects like termites and cockroaches
- The females sometimes eat their mates!
- They only have one ear
- Their lifespan is only up to 6 months
I've always loved praying mantis. When I was younger my grandmother has these hedges that would be full of them. They would walk onto your hand, and just chill with you.
