Humans who works on Instinct and Humans who work on questioning things

This squirrel is always chilling outside my house so I wanted to give him a photoshoot.

You know what I love about animals.. they are so present to everything. The present moment is a vital need for them to survive.

Just a thought, but I wonder if humans distanced themselves so much away from the present because we became a lot more safe over time where we tuned out of a lot of what was going on around us.

Not everyday do we think we are going to have to outrun another or where do we have to find our food. Some people still do and that is survival mode, and I would say most of them are a lot more present to their surroundings.

I was talking to a friend the other day and we were talking about "basic people" (And I know no one is basic, but that was the term sed) versus "consciously aware people". It was actually a very enlightening conversation. When you aren't really aware of things, you work on instinct, on how you feel, on what wants to come up in the moment because you are so present to what is going on. When you are aware of something, you become present to a different way of being. You become present to how you show up in the world, you reflect on the situation, you ask questions. No one is really basic though, we all just preform at a different level of presence. We become present to what we are aware of at our conscious level for the moment. Neither is right or wrong. Although, sometimes being aware can guide you while at the same time it can take you out of the present moment and have you reflecting on the past.

One of my goals is to not reflect/analyze so much on a situation, not ask questions as to "How did I create this? Why is this showing up in my world?" and instead to just let life flow out and keep moving. Whatever shows up, shows up and to feel it all and to be present to all of it.
