The African civet may be a solitary animal that leads a dark manner, which means that it solely emerges for a number of hours at dawn and gloaming so as to rummage around for food. they're primarily tree-dwelling creatures that pay most of the day and night hours resting within the safety and shelter of the trees. Despite being typically terribly solitary creatures, the African civet has been famous to collect in teams of up to fifteen members once food is in abundance. African Palm Civets have 2 sets of scent glands that secret strong-smelling substances. Found between the third and forth toes on every foot, and on the lower a part of their abdomen, these organ secretions area unit primarily for marking territories and area unit concerned in sexual activity.
