I have used flake laundry soap as a way to get rid of fleas off rugs, furniture and all types of flooring. On a weekend you are not entertaining guests. Buy 3 boxes of flake, (not granular) laundry soap per room. shake boxes all over furniture, floors and carpets, any where fleas are. Mush it into the carpets and floors and furniture. Leave it down as long as you can stand it. It will look like it snowed in your house. The fleas eat the soap, die of thirst.

When you are ready to vacuum up the soap, you will notice everywhere you laid out the soap will look cleaner be fresher also.

You will have to do it one more time in about a week to get the babies. but with the adults dead and the babies dead you will have destroyed the flea infestation.
