We did not meet each other for a long time: CryptoNut

There are so many animals that I can't always decide who to write about today. But, trying to escape, СryptoNut decided everything for me. So, our beloved squirrel is satisfied with life and is thick enough to safely survive the winter frosts. His escape attempt was triggered by nuts, which I brought as a treat. He was in such a hurry to be the first to seize the desired delicacy, that he jumped out of the aviary. But the nuts called and beckoned him, and he immediately returned. In the end, СryptoNut is very smart and experienced squirrel and he is well aware that finding the nuts in the winter alone will be very difficult.

I am always very amused as squirrels make special “plugs” of straw to close the entrance to their house in winter.

And this is an old photo. Here CryptoNut is still small, but already very talented little squirrel.

And here he is in a beautiful winter coat. In winter, many squirrels turn gray. There is a version that this is so that they are less noticeable in the snow and have a better chance to survive. And there is another version that as a result of natural selection only those squirrels survived who became gray in winter. Whatever it was, CryptoNut has a new coat.
