Tortoise Beetle (Aspidimorpha Miliaris)
Yesterday was a day that made me very happy, because the plant rice that has been planted for three months can be or already harvest.
While waiting for the rice-cutting machine to come, suddenly I see a turtle-less white beetle with black spots on its shell. The beetle settles on the leaves of the spinach tree (ipomoea fistulosa) growing on the edge of the irrigation canals.

This bug name has appear in previous post in this blog with almost the same black spots pattern and size. The spotted tortoise beetle with the same black spots pattern can be found at Wikipedia or EOL. But this one in this post really resembles to specimen in EOL.
Description: The main characteristic of this beetle is the white color dominating its overall body from the head. The elytra looks like as if it was made from clear resin and semi unregular black spotted over it. The color at the border between elytra is yellow.
Another tortoise beetle that named Aspidomorpha miliaris in this blog has the appearance in the photo below. We can see the color is different. But the size and the black spots pattern is almost the same. I am not really sure wether these two bugs come from the same species.
