[Volunteer] Frog taxi. Dobovoľníctvo - Žabie taxi

I guess y'all know the Frog Prince fairytale. Prince kisses a frog, the frog becomes a beautiful princess. Children love it. One of the most popular "Don't try this at home, kids!" stories.

But what if I decided to try? Well, not literally.. I'm not a zoophiliac and nor do I want to end up with lips swollen from toad poison. But I like frogs. So, yeah, I've spent a couple of romantic evenings in their company (don't worry, no kisses).

WTF?
Every spring, when it gets warm enough for frogs to move (poikilothermic problems:D ), they go to the nearest lake to lay eggs. But they live in forests that are often detached by roads. Crossing the road full of cars is a Death March for frogs. So why not help them?

After overcoming the initial disgust from touching the frog it's quite easy:

1. find a frog
2. pick it up
3. put it on the other side of the road

My personal tip:
If a car ignores the "Slow down, frogs passing" traffic signs, blind the asshole with a flashlight. (Don't tell my parents, pls)

Mother tongue version

Tipujem, že všetci poznáte rozprávku Žabí princ. Princ pobozká žabu, žaba sa premení na princeznú... Deti to milujú. Určite jeden z najpopulárnejších "Toto neskúšajte doma, deti!" príbehov.

A čo ak som sa rozhodla to skúsiť? Teda, nie doslova... Nie som zoofil a ani nechcem skončiť s perami opuchnutými od ropušieho jedu. Ale mám rada žaby. Tak som sa rozhodla v ich spoločnosti stráviť pár romantických večerov (nebojte, žiadne bozky).

Čo?
Každú jar, keď sa oteplí dosť na to, aby sa žaby vedeli normálnou rýchlosťou hýbať (problémy studenokrvných:D ), potrebujú ísť k najbližšiemu jazeru klásť vajcia. Ale často žijú v lese oddelenom od jazera cestou. Prekročiť ju je pre žaby pochod smrti. Tak prečo im nepomôcť?

Po prekonaní úvodného odporu je to vlastne celkom jednoduché:

1. nájdi žabu
2. dvihni ju
3. pusť ju na druhej strane cesty

Môj tip: Keď niekto ignoruje značky "Spomaľ, ťah žiab", oslep toho kreténa baterkou - je fakt silná. (Nehovorte to našim )
