What a story this is! , i like how you said when you met him ...he seemed cool that cracked me up.It is really sad that greyhounds are put down if there is no space in the shelter. Of course this is regular treatment for stray animals but these greyhounds were bred for the purpose of racing for sport and after they are done with them they simply move on to a next younger greyhound. At the end of the day these dogs like any other have something to beautiful to offer whoever is lucky to have em ..love.

Hey @the.artist-98, happy to report that it is now unlawful to terminate a former race dog regardless of space in their kennels. Multiple animal rights agencies, some specific to athletic animals, oversee kennels and race tracks on a daily basis to ensure animals are treated humanely and rules of retirement and rehoming are followed. 💓
