Bee stings occur because the toxic protein content in the bees affects the immune system and skin cells that cause pain and swelling around the sting area. someone who is exposed to bee stings or has an allergy to toxins / bees will be at risk of a more severe allergy to anaphylactic shock.
anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that can cause death in a patient.
