Anole lizard changing colors on Holly bush
Ive seen this reptile brown and green colored, and I think its the same lizard. It can change colors depending on where it is sitting at the time.

Since the cut branches behind the holly are dark brown the lizard changed its color match its background.
Eventually it climbed up on top of the bush and change again to a now bright green color to blend in with the holly bush leaves.
It walked around the top of the bush watching the sky for birds. I saw some swoop down on it but then did not take it away with them, maybe they caught a bug by the lizard.
It peers over the bushes for one last time and then moves onto another location.

@thekittygirl yup it's actually called a Carolina Anole so it's the same thing I think. Hah yeah those little skinks are all over my region too. One got into the house once and the cats took care of it in seconds.

very cool.
I wonder, are lizards territorial? Do they keep their own place? if so, maybe this IS the same guy all the time!
thanks, and found this presenting this on @pypt #pypt
@bluefinstudios I have a feeling it is the same one.. I think its staked its territory and the cats are the intruders to the lizard.

I wish I could do that trick! I could get away with so much more if I could blend into my surroundings.
@goat-girlz hehe it is quite the feat.

Still picturing the lizard's face offs with your cat, and it's hilarious.
@ange.nkuru hah yeah it's funny to watch.. the cats freeze and we joke cat.exe has become unresponsive. Hehe computer joke
Well is he (or is it a she) not a neat little fellow? Hopefully, this little chameleon-like critter is able to hang around for a bit. I mean, having to look around and ensure that a predator doesn't get him. Keeps the little lizard busy I am sure.
Thank you for taking the time to share your photography with the folks at #PYPT. I found the photos very interesting (then again I am a nature-lover).
@sgt-dan he sure is neat, thankful to have such nature outside my windows. Ah glad you found it interesting, makes me happy others are enjoying my content.
