Photo Time Featuring Peppa Pig the Western Hognose

It's been a while since I have taken any photos of my beautiful Western Hognose called Peppa Pig. She is about 1.5 years old now. About 80cm? The females get to about 90cm (3ft), males to about 60cm (2ft). They are scared of their own shadow, complete wusses. While they are mildy venomous they are rear fanged so it would be pretty difficult for them to bite you and get anything in you. So no need for gloves or anything, she has never even attempted to bite me.

In the wild they have been known to feign death when they feel threatened, they are real drama queens, a lot of personality, there are some funny videos of this happening online. Really interesting to see if I'm honest. 😊

This is her running away from me, she is camera shy. She really loves her home, and likes to be left alone, as all snakes do. hehe

This is her over her water bowl, snakes don't drink that often, they can survive months and months without water or food. She also bathes in this water, they are not fussy.. haha

This final shot is her saying hello, before she darted off 😂

I love snakes, they are so interesting. Really lovely to look at.
