He really is gorgeous – perfect bluejay markings and coloring. He was this flash of blue that just happened to light on a tree branch above some squirrels on the ground I was trying to photograph. I caught this just before he flew away. Unfortunately, his passage also sent the squirrels scurrying away into brush.
