Animal Photography: Back Porch Frogs
It's that time of the year again when it rains on a pretty much regular basis down here in Florida. Almost like clockwork, you can expect some sort of rain between 3 and 5 pm. Sometimes it's raining while the Sun is still out and sometimes it's a crazy thunderstorm full of lightning. Either way, when it rains regularly and the ground becomes soggy I begin to see many more of my amphibian friends that like to call my back porch home.
Sometimes I even find them hiding under the pillows or in-between the cushions. The majority of the frogs I see are Cuban Tree Frogs but I do find other species as well. It seems the invasive Cuban Tree Frogs are keeping most of the others at bay. There actually happens to be a pair of them that enjoys living in the top rails above my sliding glass door. It's all good until they decide to start singing in the middle of the night and they are LOUD!

So cute! Tree frogs are not that common where I live, and we only have 2 species... love to see them, but wouldn't want to (or should I say try to) sleep near them :P
