Tuyuyu - Mycteria americana - American wood stork

It is not a very common bird in our zone, Mar del Plata, Argentina, but sometimes we can see it. Common in the country (although scarce in its austral distribution), it is found in marshy areas except in the extreme south.
It feeds on fish, amphibians and reptiles.

• No es un ave muy comun en nuestra zon, Mar del Plata, Argentina, pero en ocaciones podemos verlo. Especie común en el país (aunque escasa en su distribución austral), se la encuentra en áreas palustres salvo en el extremo sur.
