Red Moon, Hoopoe and Yellowhammer

in #animalphotography5 years ago (edited)

Today was a very beautiful day that i spend at my parents home in Upper Austria. When i arrived there my mother told me she saw a hoopoe the other day. So i decided to take a look for the hoopoe and i also found it :-) but i didn't have my camera with me exactly at the moment when i saw it. I was already listening to the sound it made for several hours and looking for it in the grass and under the trees.

When i was tired and put back my camera to the car, i saw it one minute after. It was directly in front of me and pretty beautiful. I was so angry about myself that i did the mistake and didn't have my camera with me for just some minutes. But now i know that a Hoopoe lives at my parents place and this was not the only time i am looking for it, i am pretty sure i will get a picture if i just search good enough.

At least i was able to take some pictures of a Yellowammer that was flying around at our place. Because there was a lot of Sahara Sand in the Air today you could see a red moon in the sky.
