Animalphotography - Birds in Austria

On my photography trip through Austria i was able to take pictures of various beautiful birds. Most of them i found near the lake neusiedler, but also in Linz i was able to take some nice pictures of birds. It's much easier to take some pictures in a region where there are a lot of birds and for this you need to visit the forrests and the meaddows to find some nice spots where the birds gather around.

These two birds i found at lake Neusiedler at the Hansag in the morning. The Hansag is a very nice protected area where you can find a lot of different animals like rabbits, foxes and so on. In the morning we where driving there with the car and really had luck to find some really nice animals close to us. In Animal photography it's really important to get some closeup shots of the animals so the pictures get really impressive. In Most cases it's like the closer you are the nicer the image is.

The Later the evening the more difficult it was to take some nice pictures, but exactly at the right time we found this yellow wagtail on a piece of straw. We really had the perfect luck with the light fromt he setting sun directy behind us. This gave us a very smooth and nice light for photographing. I really love this condition but it's very rare because you only have some minutes a day with this perfect light condition. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I am already looking forward to visit lake neusiedler again this autumn. I hope i can see also some different birds the next time. But i have to say we really had luck and made so many nice pictures.
