The Strong Willed Fish Eagle
These are some of my favorite fish eagle shots. For some reason I just can't get enough of these amazing birds, I love everything about them, from the way that they depict freedom and independence, the way that their calls wakes up the African bush-veld, and their sheer tenacity.
One great example of their perseverance can be seen when they are out on a hunt. When the fish eagle catches a fish that is too big for them to fly with, the would rather crash-land back into the water than let go of the fish...
These pictures were taken in Satara Camp of the Kruger National Park.

Now that is a magnificent bird. It almost looks out of place with its clean and manicured feathers.
Yes, It surely does, it always fascinates me to think how the right feathers (color wise) grow on the right places... LOL
