Eagles vs Drones: 1:1

It seems that using eagles against drones is not a good idea after all: Netherlands rather discontinued this.

Many people dealt many times with the problem of drones flying above restricted areas, which the authorities tried to handle in many ways. There was a place, where the people thought about electromagnetic guns, there were "drone-hunting drones" with nets, but for example Netherlands is trained an eagle unit to take down flying things above unwanted places.

It was obvious that for the bird spending most of their life in the sky, within this, hunting, that catching drones will be child's play and the first experiments was promising enough as well and thanks to that, using similar teams is emerged in multiple places. But by now is turned out that not everything is perfect, because Netherlands are decided to shut down the project. One of the problems is the unreliability of the birds. It is occurred in multiple cases that the attention of the birds was distracted by something more exciting prey or event. Beside this the idea is not ideal either in the aspect of animal protection, because the propellers of the drones could caused injuries to the birds coming from the bad angles.

So the Netherlands authorities have to look for the technology offered alternatives, they can use for example the DroneShield's "dronegun".
