Swallow And Sriti Differences
In contrast to Sriti who lost prestige with the Swallow. Swallow birds that produce nests that we eat are known by the scientific name of collocalia belonging to the apodidae family, which is not the same as "ordinary bird swallow" or a bird of sriti.
Swallows live in clusters and usually live in seaside areas and eat insects. From apparently swallow is different from what is known as "swallow bird house" or commonly known as sriti. The average length of the Walet's body is 9 cm or half the birds of the sriti. Swallow has a shorter tail and compartment while Sriti has a longer tail and pointed. The average age of swallows is 15-18 yrs. Age affects the quality of the nest, generally the older the swallow the longer it takes cooking.
Some species of swiftlet use ekolocation in determining its position in the dark cave. Unlike bats, swallows make click sounds within the reach of human hearing. The click consists of 2 broadband pulses (3-10khz) separated by a momentary pause (1-3milidetik). The period of the voice pulse (IPP) varies depending on the level of light.
In the darker conditions the birds issue a shorter IPP as well the sound gets louder as it approaches the target and the IPP will be longer when the bird will come out of the cave. This habit is the same as the bat when it approaches the target. The bird also issued a series of low clicks followed by a call when approaching the nest, assuming to commemorate other birds so as not to impede its path. Experts think that the double click is used to distinguish birds from one another.
Swallow birds are insectivores. Usually they leave the cave in the morning and back in the afternoon. Male and female shapes look similar. Swallow embraces monogamy, and males and females are equally responsible for the nest. The male will show air shows to attract the female and the marriage takes place. The mating season is usually in the rainy season as the number of insects increases. Swallow spawned 1 or 2 grains, pale white and removed on different days. Most swallows live in colonies, nesting in high and dark places. Generally some types of "common swallow" migrate but swallows that produce nests from saliva live in tropical indo regions that are tropical and non-migratory. Swallow attracts people because the price of its very expensive nest, swallow nest is not made of twigs, straw or feathers like other birds nest but derived from saliva.
