I would not like to come across this guy on a hiking trail! But from it's coloring I am guessing it mostly hides out underneath things, or in rotten logs and wood piles, places like that. Also the top picture is a little funny to me because it looks like the scorpion is missing a head! The shape of the body suggests that there should be more of a head part in the front there... where there is nothing. They all look funny to me in this way!
