BEWARE OF YOUR CHILD WHILE PLAYING WITH THE CAT

Playing is one of the most important activities for cats. Because by playing, the cat will get various benefits, ranging from being not bored, to have a healthier body.

Children and cats can live and play together, provided they can respect their individual needs and desires. If your child is a toddler, do not leave him alone with a cat. Toddlers can be rude and willfully hurt a cat. If a cat becomes scared and hurt, he or she may bite or scratch. You should always keep an eye on your toddler every time he plays with a cat.

Teach the following when your toddler plays with a cat :

• Always take the cat with two hands, one hand supporting the chest and the other supporting the hind legs.

• If the cat revolts or tries to escape, immediately release.

• If the cat's ear is flat and the tail is hitting, it means he is not happy, let him alone. Most cats do not like their stomachs touched. It may scare him and he will bite.

• Likewise with the tail, do not step on it, he might reply to it by biting or scratching.

• When playing with cats, always use the right and safe toys that do not hurt the cat.

• If the cat is sleeping, do not disturb, leave him alone.
