Octopus, see?
Octopus are 400 million years ago. They are one of the most smart creature on earth. My friend collects octopus stuff like pillows, key chain and sticker. Those are rare, and my friend said that is one factor why she likes collecting them.
There are many other reasons to prove Octopus are one fascinating water based creature.
Here's some for you to read.
They have 3 hearts. again? 3 hearts! Hehe Wow! and while everyone even teachers, says octopus has 8 legs, they don't! They have 6 arms and 2 legs to be clear.
There are more than 300 species of octopus discovered.
Octopus has more than 500 million more brain neurons than humans.
They can open jars using their 8 skillful tentacles and intelligent brain.
Octopus can solve puzzles like humans.
They can even navigate simple mazes.
People are impossible to lift an object heavier than one's weight, but octopus can do such.
They change color to protect themselves from predetors.
Octopus has body poisons too which they squirt to enemies.
The Blue Ringed Octopus is considered the most dangerous-poisonous aquatic animal.
Their skin helps them to see light even in dark ares of the ocean.
Octopus blood is color blue.
They have 10,000 more human genes than us human.
These creatures can survive for million years. However, some species can last only up to 6 months.
Because of their unique genes, they can actually edit and direct their brain.
They can change skin color 177 times per hour.
Octopus are so precious that in some countries no one even experts can perform surgery on them without anesthesia.
However, in Korea, they were eaten alive.
If you ever see an Octopus with less tentacles, that is because they eat those when starvation hits them.
I believe that all animals has their respective and unique qualities. Each has a wow factor, but even the smallest of fish that are very simple and sad to say meant to be a food of bigger ones, deserve to be taken cared of. For example, to ban the use of dynamite that kills not just new born fish but coral reefs as well. We should all act as one to preserve nature.
