Things to Know About a Kitten Before You Buy It

in #animal6 years ago (edited)

Hello Friends,

Here I am Lucia again trying to find a good and virtuous topic to inscribe and share on my blog.

So the topic for today is "Card Games Vs Computer Games".

In my local area there are hundreds of kittens adopted each year by the RSPCA (Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). These are the ones that have been abandoned by the owners or that are picked up on the streets. Many cats are found wandering around and some are naturally pregnant enough. Therefore, kittens are born in society cages and are also in adoption.

These kittens are taken by people who are looking for a little friend for their children. Some of them are very young and many are little more than babies. So what makes people think that a kitten is going to be a good companion in their homes?

For starters, small children make a lot of noise. Cats are descended from animals in the jungle where noise means danger. A screaming child is terrifying to them and when they are first brought into a house, they present the little kitten with a threat that they do not know how to deal with. That means that this environment is totally inadequate.

The result of the trauma a kitten feels in those circumstances is their need to flee. That will happen through an open door or when the kitten is allowed to leave. Many of them will be crushed by a car on the road or take off to go wild and the cycle will start again.

As a former kitten breeder, these things were obvious when people who wanted to adopt one of my babies appeared. The horrible stories they told of previous attempts to find a lovely friend for their home. Many spoke of the necklace with bells that they applied to the neck and others of how they have run over it in the way of entrance.

Holding a small newborn baby while the mother was busy delivering the rest of her litter was extremely valuable. Impact on the heart with a new reality. These little creatures must be loved and protected in the same way as a human baby. While they learn quickly about life and can soon fend for themselves, they are still learning from Mom for at least 12 weeks.

Where kittens are given before this time, the little one is vulnerable. They can not deal with the noise and traumas by which people subject them later. Many told me about cats that they own and that will not get close to them. When I explain how mine are carefully raised and prepared for their new home, it makes sense and usually brought much joy instead of pain and disappointment to their new family.
