Swan fidelity

 In spring, 4 years ago, two swans flew to us on the river. They chose this place. They liked the local residents very much, they approached them closely, they were often photographed. And so, gradually, swans are used to people.

At first, when people approached them, the male drove them away, protecting their companion. And then I realized that people would not harm them, and let them in, and some even allowed themselves to be ironed.

Male, the inhabitants of our city, called Gosha. He even reacted to his name, began to swim closer to the shore, to run toward people, shouting something.

And so this couple spent six months with us on the river, they did not have chicks. And when autumn came, it was necessary to fly away, Gosha could not, his wing was damaged. So they stayed where they were. The frosts began, the first snow began, and our swans did not fly anywhere, the female did not abandon it. And throughout the winter people have come to support them, feed them.

So these swans became the attraction of our town. But it was spring, then summer, and they had offspring, four chicks. As before, Gosha was manual, but the chicks were afraid to approach people. And so the whole summer our residents admired them. 

 Time passed, other swans flew in, and joined them. Gosh, unfortunately, still could not fly. Therefore, when it was time, the chicks flew away with all the swans, and Gosh and his companion stayed. And again they were wintering alone. Residents of the city continued to visit this couple and feed them. 

 And in the summer they had chicks again. But it was, unfortunately, the last summer of Goshi with us. No one else saw him. There is an opinion that, perhaps, Gosh died, and his companion either died in time or flew away with other swans.

But the most interesting is that a couple formed from their descendants, they had their own chicks. They stayed to live here on our river. And no one knows what it is connected with.
