Bubal Hartebeest.
Extinct in 1925. Originally from North Africa and the Middle East, the Hartebeest bubal was a type of alcelafo or búbalo whose population was drastically reduced with the arrival of the first European settlers, who hunted them mainly for fun or to take them to the zoos of the old continent.

Although officially its date of extinction dates from 1925, scientists are investigating if the species has been able to survive after a very similar animal was sighted in 2013 in Morocco.
