RE: How Do I Get Milk From A Cash Cow

in #anhouraday6 years ago

It's important to build a middle class.
There are a lot of people with our thinking along the same line and in our peer group. There are also some much bigger people than we are who are pushing it hard. In time, combined, it will make a difference. If we support the ones above and below correctly. We just have to make sure the ones we support are like minded and the takers don't get past especially to the witness level.
Thanks mike

I completely agree, although there is one thing that has been bothering me for a couple of weeks now. All us 50-60 people are supporting the little guys - which is the right and a noble thing to do, of course.

But the potential Middle class every one wants so badly, is us, not them (yet). So we really need to get our heads together and find a way to set up a similar support system for the people that aren’t the newbies anymore.

Loads of people and communities are standing in line to help the people with a rep level of under 50. Once you reach that milestone, you are basically on your own. There are very few support initiatives for the people with a rep between 50 and 60 - for as far as I know of. Of course we had the time and opportunity to find ourselves a ‘tribe’ - a community of like-minded people that support each other. Still, that is no comparison to the support you receive when you’re new here.

If we could find a way to organize ourselves better, set up a better system of mutual support between
Minnows, it wouldn’t take that long before we would actually become that middle class.

I don’t mean we should forget about supporting the redfish, it’s just that I spend 90% of my efforts and resources helping them. If we could find a balance between supporting them, but also supporting ourselves by taking actions for minnows as we do for red fish, that middle class would be created a lot sooner.

And every day I get more convinced that we’d better make it happen sooner than later, if we want to have a slight chance of saving this dying platform.

All easier said than done, I’m not the girl with the big ideas. I’ve been knocking on doors for a while now, but I haven’t found anyone with any idea on how to make this work...

Same thought has been coming across my mind over the last couple weeks. Not so much rep between 50 and 60 but SP 500 to 1500. They are the ones who have put the time and work in and have proven their support to the platform.

If you would like to meet up and throw some ideas around I am up for it
this would be a good place for it.

Thanks, I was a member already. The problem is that I’m not really ‘the idea’ girl, lol. Me an @beeyou have been talking sbout this for weeks, but we never got any further than seeing what was going in. There are definitely no ideas yet (I assume neither of us knows enough about the technical/practical side of SteemIt to figure out a way to solve this

I have a couple ideas but it will need help and buy in

LOL I did add you to the room with the tag. If we can get people talking , which is the first step, it could help out a little. There has been some talk already but not that directed

I'll have plenty of time tomorrow. I'll make sure I'll drop by!
